Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How can counselling help me?

Counselling provides a supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Our experienced therapists guide you in developing coping strategies, enhancing self-awareness, improving relationships, and achieving personal growth goals. Counselling can lead to increased emotional well-being, improved communication, and enhanced life satisfaction.

How long is a typical counselling session?

Sessions typically last around 50 minutes, but the duration may vary depending on your specific needs and the type of therapy you’re receiving. Your therapist will work with you to determine an appropriate session length that allows for meaningful progress.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for you to connect with your therapist, discuss your concerns, and share your goals for therapy. Your therapist will gather information about your background and experiences to better understand your needs. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies for each individual and depends on the nature of your concerns. Some clients find relief and achieve their goals in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to establish a treatment plan tailored to your progress and needs.

What can I expect in Therapy?

You’ll work with your therapist to identify patterns, develop coping strategies, and gain insights into your behaviours and relationships. Therapy is a collaborative process that fosters personal growth, increased self-awareness, and improved overall well-being.

Is everything discussed in sessions kept confidential?
